Isaac's First Birthday!

My baby is one. My very last baby is one. Isaac has entered a new stage. No longer technically a "baby", but technically considered a toddler. Boo... I still say he's a baby. He is. All my kids are my babies. I am blessed to have them all in my life. Isaac is the first of my babies to come into the world on his own. He was ready and said, "Let's do this!" My other three had to be induced. But with Isaac, I started contractions on my own and Lance didn't think they would amount to anything. But once they were every 5 minutes for about 2 hours, we called the hospital to tell them we wanted to come in. Since we are over an hour away from the hospital, I wasn't waiting around for the contractions to get closer. They admitted me and I had to walk the halls in the hospital to get things moving faster. I just wanted to sleep. It was after midnight and I had no interest in walking around and around the labor and delivery floor. But I did, because I wanted my baby to get here quick. We didn't know if we were having a boy or girl until Isaac was born. I loved that. We did it with Emma, too, and I recommend it to anyone. We already had a girl and a boy so we were ready for either the next times.

And we got our Isaac on February 16th 2013. After I had been awake over 24 hours. I went to the hospital about 11 pm on the 15th and he was born at 10 am on the 16th. He has been such a fun baby.

We love you, Isaac! We thank our Heavenly Father everyday that He sent you to us. We love the happy. sweet boy that you are. Happy Birthday from Dad, Mom, Hannah, Preston and Emma!

Nine is Fine

My kid is nine. Nine years ago our first son was born. I wondered how we could love another child as much as we loved our first, but the second he was placed in my arms all doubt left. There is plenty of room in my heart for my children. I was amazed at how much I loved this baby boy. Preston is all boy and I couldn't be happier to call him ours.

Preston still has that contagious giggle and I hope he never outgrows it.
He is such a jokester and loves to creep up on his mom to scare the jeebies out of her.

Now that Emma started Kindergarten, he has made it his mission to protect her at school. He makes sure to tell any boys to leave her alone and to be nice to her.

Seriously. Look at those eyelashes. Girls are gonna go nuts over those. He already gets so many comments on them telling him to watch out when he's older. He doesn't really like that. Girls? Blech.

He still is my little farm boy. He goes to work with his dad every chance he gets. Even when I go to Ogden to visit family, he will stay home with Lance.

You will always find his pocket knife in his pocket at any given time. He's just like his dad.

Happy Birthday, kid. We love you and all you bring to our family.
Just please stop growing up.

Catch-Up with Isaac

I have become such a slacker on here! Between my other blog and family life, it's fallen to the back burner. I love going thru and reading old posts so I need to do better. Here's what's been happening...

Emma loves playing with Isaac. She recently gave him a check-up.

He has started eating rice cereal and other baby food. His first time he opened his mouth and leaned right in for the spoon. He knew what to do and loved it. No funny faces from this guy.

Bath time continues to be one of his favorite things to do.

I have swaddled all my babies for sleeping because they sleep better when their hands are tucked in so they can't wake themselves up. Isaac has started to rebel. But then he wakes himself up by touching his face or pulling his binky out. Darned if I swaddle him, darned if I don't. So I start out by swaddling and if he fights it, I unwrap him.

 But he loves his blankie.

The kids are going back to school on Monday so it's just gonna be the 2 of us.

He has 2 cousins right at his age. Casey and Michelle's little guy Cayson is 10 days older. Matt and Brittnie's baby girl Azlyn is a month younger.

Isaac is the happiest baby you'll ever see. I can't believe he is 6 months old tomorrow! I constantly am amazed at my blessings.

That's all for now. Check out my instagram for more pics.

Hannah is Eleven

This birthday girl is growing so fast. I say that every time and every time, it's true. Hannah is eleven. She is going into middle school this year. MIDDLE SCHOOL. Soon I will be writing that she is going into high school. I refuse to believe this. I love this girl and her personality is so fun and larger than life.

She is super girly and being a "tween" is in that stage where she doesn't really want to play with toys, but not yet a teenager. She loves Lego Friends and can sit for hours building them. She also won Malad's Got Talent this year and bought herself a Samsung Tablet.

Hannah loves putting on makeup and doing her nails. She absolutely loves Bath and Body Works. She takes after her mom on that one. It's fun when she reads book that I love so we can talk about them.

That photo above captures her "Oh yeah? I know everything" attitude.

She also has discovered her love for baking. Cupcakes especially. She watches Cake Boss on Netflix and has started decorating cakes and making cupcakes. She decorated her birthday cake and picked out stuff to make more cupcakes.

We love you, Jo!
Happy Birthday!

Happy 5th Birthday, Emma!

Emma is 5 today!
Even though I told her we are skipping birthdays from now on because I refuse to let my kids get any older. We are done.
She doesn't believe me. She insists on being 5 and going to Kindergarten this fall.
Emma is such a mix of tom boy and girly girl. She will play in the dirt and go farm with her dad and then turn around and dress up in her princess gear. I love her personality. She loves life and is thrilled by such simple things.

She loves her big sister and wants to do everything Hannah does.

She's never met a stuffed animal she didn't like and her room can prove it. This zebra she got from the Hogle Zoo and is named Cassie.

She still loves Pinkalicious so we gave her a set of Pinkalicious books.

We are taking her shopping this week to pick out her other gifts. It is a tradition our kids look forward to each year. Later today we are going swimming at Downata Hot Springs per Emma's request.

We love you so much, little girl!
Happy birthday!

Isaac's First Photo Shoot

I took these pictures of Isaac when he was 5 days old. He was so good. I was worried that he would get upset when I had him undressed for it, but he was a good sport.

Oh am I gonna have fun with him.
