Lance, his brother Blaine, and uncles and cousins went deer hunting this past Saturday. Some arrived Friday night and the rest met at 6 am on Saturday morning to go hunt. They all met at Lance's parents' house and went hunting on their land in the mountains above the house. The wives and sisters of the hunters stayed at the house and had a good time relaxing (as much as you can with little ones around), cooking, playing games, eating, and having fun.
Here are the guys after they got back from the morning hunt. No one got a deer (aww...too bad. I don't like hunting season. I always ask Lance if I can go but he won't let me. I don't know why. Maybe because he knows that I would do all I could to scare the deer far away?), but they went again in the evening and Lance's cousin Zack(in the red sweater in the above pic second from the right) got one. Sorry, Elder Bird, you won't see it on here. I'm sure your mom will send a picture to you. Here are some pictures of our laid back, relaxing day...
And here's Ellie (cousin Lindsay and her hubby Randall's girl) with our niece Madison. It's blurry, but I could not get a clear shot for the life of me. They were wiggly little girls!
Emma and her cousin Keathan. She LOVES him.
No he's not biting her, just snuggling down into the hug.
And what is hunting season without good soup? My mother-in-law Irene and her twin Nadene made some yummy homemade Cream of Potato Soup and Chicken Noodle soup.We had fun and I enjoy being with the Bird's, Edwards', Leavitt's and Sorenson's.
