Last night was our ward party. Emma just wanted Santa. She kept asking when he was coming. I told her to make a wish and so she did. Next thing she knew, Santa was jingling through the doors. On the actual day of Halloween, we were busy. Or Emma and I were. We went to see Hannah and the cousins in Malad in the elementary parade. Pretty darn cute. Mr. Preston Bird is 7 today! Seven. One year away from being baptized. He refuses to slow down on the whole aging thing, much to his mother's dismay. I took him out for some picture taking. He's the easiest kid to photograph. He can't stop smiling. It's just his nature to be happy-go-lucky. School's back in session! Hooray  I miss them already. Hannah and Preston were ready to go back. They are loving it. Hannah started the 4th grade and Preston 1st. Hannah had a big change this year. She goes over the mountains to Malad for school now. She's gone from 6:50 am until 4:15 pm. Long day for her. She's already made so many new friends. I'm not surprised as she's our social butterfly.

My friend's goats had baby goats last week. She called us to let us know, so we walked over to see them. So cute! We couldn't help but cuddle them. This past Tuesday night, Preston had his first wrestling match at his school against Park Valley, Idaho. He did so good. I told him to do his best and not stop fighting. For my nephew Keathen's 2nd birthday, we were invited to go to Hardware Ranch. It is up the Hyrum Canyon in Utah. The kids loved it. Keathen loves "Big Bucks" so this was perfect for him. They take you out on a sleigh ride to see wild Elk that come in during the winter to eat. Hardware Ranch feeds them to keep them from going into the city. It was amazing to be so close to them.

Last week was Stone Elementary's Christmas Program. It was my favorite one so far, as far as the program itself was concerned. It was about a sad zookeeper (Preston) who was stuck working in the zoo for Christmas and the animals who cheered him up. Only 20 minutes long and so cute and funny. Preston did not want to do it. This year Hannah went as a vampire, Preston an astronaunt, and Emma a duck & Fairy. I was over the Halloween party at the school and they had fun playing games, doing the cake walk where they turned their Cupcakes into spiders with gummy worms and M&M's, and just being silly. Lance's Grandma Bird invited us to the Arbon Valley Reunion this summer. It was for anyone with any ties to the Arbon Valley. Since Lance's parents and grandma lives there, we went. Hannah was baptized this past Saturday! September 4, 2010 is now her special day in history. I can't believe it. I feel like we just blessed her. She was glowing all day. We had a free day with Lance one day, thanks to the rain, so we headed to Logan to take the kids to the Fun Park. They love it there. It has arcade games, bowling, laser tag, roller skating and a big jungle gym thing. That's what they like. Even grown-ups can play on it. Emma loved it, too, as it was her first time there. Today was the first day of school for Hannah and Preston. Hannah is in the 3rd grade and Preston is just starting kindergarten. My little guy is in school! I can't believe it. Today is Hannah's 8th Birthday! It's a big one. She will be getting baptized in September. I am so grateful for her. She will be starting the 3rd grade in a few weeks and can't wait. These pictures will speak for themselves, but I love spring because of the blooming crab apple tree in my backyard. It is gorgeous right now. It only lasts a week or two and then the flowers die and fall off, but in the meantime, I love this tree. Soon it will be buzzing with bees hard at work. Which makes it a bit scary to mow the lawn. Emma loves her daddy. When he comes back from WY after being gone about a week at a time, she goes to him and sticks to him for the first day like glue. I went down with the kids to my parents' in North Ogden and they were having their church Halloween party that night. So the kids and I went with them.
