Emma and I were able to go with Preston and his schoolmates to the Ogden Nature Center on Tuesday.
Definitely awesome.
The kids loved it and learned about pond ecology.
They got collect stuff from a pond and look at the different living things in it.
Emma fits right in there.
Preston's pal Jace kept his arm around Preston most of the day. They're cool like that.
There was a "mouse hole" the kids crawled through.
And turkeys.
And geese with their babies. Spring is a great time to visit. It's all fresh and green and there are babies!
There was a walk way with bird houses people have made. We loved the Three Pigs Homes.
They had an awesome guide. Andrew was his name and today was his first class on Pond Ecology. The kids loved him and he had great patience with all their "Why" questions.
See anything on Preston's arm?
Scooping out the pond life.
They also got to go on a scavenger hunt with Andrew and find cool stuff. Like trees where beavers had eaten the bark. And a raccoon's den.
Emma found a new beau. She just loved this little guy and his owl.
Total success.
